Real estate transactions for obtaining a Golden Visa have gained momentum. New requests for residence permits through the Golden Visa program continue to come in at a consistently high level, with 1,299 new applications submitted in the first two months of January and February, compared to 1,248 applications during the same period last year. According to data from the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, a total of 4,444 licenses were approved in 2023, with a total real estate sales value of 1.1 billion euros. In the first two months of the current year, an additional 664 licenses were issued.

American billionaires are interested in obtaining a Greek passport.

The Golden Visa program in Greece remains the most sought-after in the world, as from 2021 to 2023, it attracted a total investment of 4.3 billion euros from 7,387 foreign investors.
