Ampelokipoi, an ancient neighborhood, had small vineyards in the area in the first half of the 1900s, but the situation changed completely with the industrialization of Greece. It has now become a lively neighborhood full of stylish bars, traditional cafes and restaurants. The Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Plaka, Monastiraki flea market, as well as Syntagma Square and all the lively neighborhoods of Athens are in close proximity.
