He then offered me tea or coffee, which was a complete surprise to me, as it was completely out of line with my experience dealing with tax authorities.

After that, I gradually got rid of my fear of the tax office. Now I even enjoy going there to pay my car tax, even though I could do it through online services. I thought for a long time about how beyond Alanya, a completely different, unfamiliar Turkey awaited me, but the reality turned out to be quite different. I was very surprised when I learned about the ancient city of Myra, the birthplace and place of service of Saint Nicholas, as well as his tomb — this truly sacred site. I was curious about the role that Saint Nicholas played for Turkey.

It turned out that the Byzantine Empire once existed here, and Christianity began its existence right here.
