One of my surprises after moving from Belarus to Lithuania was how brightly the streetlights shine all night long. Despite this, buckwheat is sold here fresher and cleaner than anywhere else. As for the products, Lithuania is distinguished by its variety of potato types and food items available in different stores. And most importantly, I tried real delicious fish here for the first time.

The seaside and the bay are key attractions of this country, and for me, as a lover of beach vacations and outdoor activities, this is a big plus.

The educational system also deserves attention; the teachers are friendly and help children achieve results. But there are other advantages for me in Lithuania:

My son started attending a gymnasium. He had to go through the challenges of transitioning to a new curriculum, but he is happier going to school here than in our hometown.

One of the negative aspects after moving has been my work in permanent makeup. In Belarus, I had regular clients, but here I have to start from scratch, and until I get my residence permit, I can't work officially, which creates difficulties for my family.
