In the first half of this year, the most houses were sold in Vojvodina, particularly in Subotica, but the volume of sales of this type of real estate across the country fell by 15 percent.

According to data from the Republican Geodetic Institute, prices of sold houses in Serbia range from a minimum of 500 euros in several towns to 4,802,000 euros in the Savski Venac area.

Subotica

Subotica ranks first in the number of houses sold, with 564 houses sold in the first half of the year. The cheapest house cost €2,000 and the most expensive €192,500.

Zrenjanin

Now Subotica is followed by Zrenjanin, where 425 houses were sold, with the cheapest one costing 3,000 euros and the most expensive one costing 120,000 euros.

Novi''Sad

The third place in terms of the number of houses sold is Novi Sad, with 377 houses sold, the cheapest sold for 9,000 and the most expensive sold for 463,500 euros.

Sombor, Bečej, Sremska Mitrovica, Kikinda, Stara Pazova and Bačka Topola are also areas that distinguished themselves in terms of the number of houses sold. Here, between 234 and almost 180 houses were sold. The prices of these houses range from 1,000 to 240,000 euros as the price of the most expensive house sold in Nova Pazovi.

- In the first half of 2023, houses between 70 and 120 square meters were the most popular, accounting for 31 percent of total sales. The most frequently sold properties were land plots of more than 12 acres, which accounted for 36 percent - according to''study of the Republican Geodetic Institute.

In the first half of 2023, 21,021 apartments, 12,916 land plots, 10,226 houses and 12,459 agricultural land plots were sold in the Republic of Serbia. The total amount of money on the real estate market in the Republic of Serbia in the first half of 2023 amounted to 3.3 billion euros, which is 7.4 percent less than in the previous year.

- The largest share of total cash was taken by the real estate market in Belgrade with the amount of 1,693 million euros (51 percent), followed by Vojvodina with 884 million euros (27 percent), Sumadija and western Serbia with 516 million euros (16 percent) and southern and eastern Serbia with 209 million euros (6 percent).

EUR 257.6 million was spent on houses''(eight percent of the total value) - according to a study by the Republican Geodetic Institute.

The most houses sold last year were in Subotica, where as many as 1,202 houses were sold, and the most expensive house was sold in Novi Sad for an incredible 1,054,990 euros. The cheapest house sold in Subotica cost 1,000 euros, while the most expensive was 245,000 euros. The cheapest houses with a plot in Vojvodina are in Banat, in villages that lead to the Romanian border, and they cost less than 10,000 euros. Cheap houses are also available in surrounding villages such as Jaša Tomić, Kikinda, Nakovo, Mokrin and Banat Great Village.

The report of the Republican Surveyor Institute shows that the volume of house sales at the country level in 2022 remained at the same''level as in 2021. When comparing to previous years, the situation is reversed. There are 24,766 homes sold in 2022, 18,737 in 2020, and 17,113 in 2019, showing an increase in home sales over the past four years.
