65 million Turkish lira were stolen under the guise of national property based on false statements from MIT.

The Ankara Prosecutor's Office for Fraud and Forgery Investigation has launched an investigation into suspects who, posing as high-ranking government officials or "MIT agents," promised to sell lands owned by the General Directorate of National Property.

The police found that the suspects received 65 million lira as a result of 6 cases of serious fraud. At the same time, police conducted an operation in Ankara and Izmir, detaining 11 suspects.

During the searches, the following were discovered:

  • 3 illegal pistols
  • a large number of checklists
  • fake dollars
  • fake sales contracts
  • fake passes for deputy assistants
  • fake bracelets
  • fake signal lights for cars

In addition, books containing legislation were found that the suspects used to study the crime scene according to the law.

One of the female suspects was released after giving her testimony, while the other 10 suspects were brought to court.
