'Agents have to pass an exam to work in real estate'

Veselin Dragash, chairman of the real estate trade group at the Chamber of Commerce, expressed hope that the Law on Mediation in Real Estate Transactions could come into force in early 2024.

"The real estate market is unregulated, there is a vast underground economy, agencies struggle with disloyal competition, real estate transaction apprentices are unprotected, the quality of intermediaries is very low.... "There are many things that need to be worked on and that need to be improved legislatively," Dragash said in the Morning Colors program on Vesti TV channel.

Dragaš said that the real estate market in Montenegro is stable. He pointed out that at the moment there is a noticeable decrease in the number of buyers compared to last year, which was a "record year".
