U.S. sanctions against Georgia's chief prosecutor mean he no longer has assets in Georgia under his own name - everything has been transferred to his son's name as dictated by law.

In June 2013, when Otar Partskhaladze, a well-known public figure, filled out a declaration on his property for the first time, his family owned only one apartment in Tbilisi, the rest of their movable and immovable property was missing.

But just a week ago, before the US put Otar Partskhaladze on the sanctions list as a Georgian-Russian oligarch, he was making transactions worth millions of GEL, including numerous plots of land, apartments, hotel rooms.

Recently he transferred 12 real estate objects, including a temple built by him on the property with the area of 4,089 square meters, to the name of his son, Andrei Anzor Partskhaladze. The re-registration of the property to Andrei Anzor Partskhaladze and the expenses related to this service alone amounted to over GEL 4,000.

The reason for such actions may be related to the fact that before the property was re-registered, Partskhaladze was not able to sell, give away or transfer the property until it was identified in the state register and the property was deregistered - it could not be pledged, sold or transferred to other persons.

The procedure of terminating Otar Partskhaladze's residence in Georgia was started only on September 21 by the Ministry of Justice, despite the fact that the documents related to Partskhaladze's registration as a resident of Russia became known seven months ago.

Exclusive material from the spokesman of the Ministry of Justice, illustrates a photo of the property of the Partskhaladze family, including land plots and a temple, on joint areas of 349 square meters, 124, 54, 312 square meters respectively; on the plot of land of the sanatorium in Bakuriani - 204 and 101 square meters; in Batumi - two rooms of the hotel complex - 25 and 26 square meters.
