have peaked in prestigious neighborhoods? Along the RER C line, houses are taking by storm. With 5000 inhabitants and a train station to Paris, Morman is a sought-after village. In Compiègne, there's a boom in new buildings.

Money is still an issue for real estate. Over the past two years, this theory may have been less true, making the last two years exceptional in terms of transactions, but it is now relevant again in October. The situation is thus challenging in Paris and Hauts-de-Seine, which offer the highest prices in Île-de-France.

According to Meilleursagents.com (MA), a real estate appraisal website, the decline has persisted for a year. One indicator reflects the situation in Paris: +54%. This is the amount of affordable housing compared to 2018. It is clear that there are a lot of unsold properties in Paris at the moment, and the figures confirm this, as prices have fallen by 0.8% over the year, notes Barbara Castillo-Rico, head of economic research at MA. They have risen by only 2.6% in three years, which is the lowest growth in Île-de-France.
