Paris bourse confident in Europe's inflation figures

The Paris stock exchange is rising Tuesday morning, with investors quietly awaiting eurozone growth and inflation data. At the time of publication of this article, the CAC 40 main index was up 0.57% at 6,840.73 points.

The Paris bourse was up 0.44% on Monday after falling on Friday to its lowest level since January 5. October's results promise to be negative, with a third consecutive month in the negative for the CAC 40.

This week, investors are expecting a slew of corporate earnings reports, central bank meetings in Japan, the U.S.

French GDP growth

French GDP growth'. 'slowed to 0.1% in the third quarter, remaining slightly above zero thanks to a 0.2% increase in household consumption.

Inflation in October

Inflation slowed significantly to 4% in October from 4.9% in September, preliminary data released Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (Insee) showed, thanks to slower price increases in energy, food and, to a lesser extent, manufactured goods.

German third-quarter GDP contracted 0.1 percent on Monday and inflation fell to 3.8 percent in October, pointing to a "potential slowing trend (in inflation) for other eurozone countries, with data to be released later in the day," analysts at Natixis CIB' said 'Research.

The central bank of Japan (BoJ)

The central Bank of Japan (BoJ) announced a new relaxation of its control over bond yields, but did not abandon its highly accommodative monetary policy.

The Bouygues Company

The Bouygues Company reported strong profits in the third quarter of 2023, up 12.8% to 440 million euros, and is also positive in its financial performance.

The Stellantis Company

The Stellantis company confirmed its 2023 targets despite strikes at its US plants, with revenue up 7% in the third quarter to €45.1 billion.
