The price per square meter of assembly houses in the region remains stable as certain construction materials have become cheaper.

The crisis has not deterred Bosnian-Herzegovinian assembly house producers, who sold their products for DM 104.92 million (EUR 53,657,017) abroad in the last nine months, a significant increase compared to the previous year.

According to data from the BiH Indirect Tax Administration (ITA), the most popular markets for assembly house producers this year were Germany, Croatia and Austria. At the same time last year, in the same period, assembly houses worth 93.74 million DM (about 48,072,433 euros) were exported.

In contrast to exports, IIP data show that this year installation houses worth 6.25 million DM (3,324,157 euros) came to BiH from abroad, while locals spent 5.46 million DM (about 2,792,292 euros) on them a year earlier.

The owner of a company that produces mounting houses and furniture in Bila Tserkva, Milenko Stevanovic, told Glas Srpske that they have a lot of work to do and have recently entered the Australian market. - Due to the high volume of work, we have recently hired new staff. We export to 20 countries and now we have the most orders in Switzerland. Some fear owns Germany, no one buys anything anymore, neither houses nor furniture, demand there is down 50 percent," said Stevanovic, whose workers abroad last year completed 37,000 square meters, or about 300 houses.

Another company from Milica, with 99 percent of its production destined for the foreign market, is also busy.

The executive director of this company, Slavisa Lukic, confirmed that there are currently no buyers. "We have a lot more work to do this year than last year. We also already have some significant and big projects for next year," Lukic said and added that the price per square meter remains stable due to the cheapening of some building materials.

He said that the price per square meter, in addition to the quality of insulation and appearance, also depends on the market.

The Grossist company says that foreigners are interested in installation houses almost daily, but due to pre-planned events, they have not exported anything this year.

New program - "This year we are developing a new program of houses, namely Scandinavian style, which next year we will first present on our market and then on the foreign market," said the director of this company Nemanja Vuikovic.

Jurist of the Union of Forest and Woodworking in the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Igor Andric, said that more and more companies are starting the production of assembly houses because of the growing demand. - Erection houses are much cheaper than masonry houses, which is why more and more people, both in our country and in the world, are choosing them," Andrić said.
