A British millionaire expat was shot near his home in France.
This is a millionaire emigrant from the UK who was shot near his 300-acre French estate, having dedicated his life to turning it into a dream home. 72-year-old David Daniels, an entrepreneur who made his fortune selling kitchenware to top restaurants around the world, purchased the property in 1997 but only moved there permanently in 2015. He joined the village heritage association, participated in meetings to increase tourist attendance, and was known for his enthusiasm in creating a "postcard" view from his window. However, the farm where Mr. Moro lived did not meet the postcard standards. Mr. Daniels had a dispute with Mr. Moro, and ultimately the farmer allegedly shot him right on his estate. Mr. Daniels died from his wounds in his car while his wife Gay was taking him to the nearest doctor after the shooting near their home.
According to the neighbors, it was an adult farm filled with old tractor tires, livestock feed, and agricultural waste. Mr. Daniels had repeatedly argued with Mr. Moro, and the situation reached its peak when the farmer shot him on his estate. Mr. Moro was arrested and charged with premeditated murder.
According to local residents, Mr. Daniels had been in conflict with his neighbors for a long time over land maintenance and had been feeling increasingly irritated by them since he moved there permanently three years ago. The Moro family had reportedly been renting the farm for 51 years, using the land for raising livestock and growing crops.

The neighbors have already talked about a long dispute between two men regarding land maintenance. Daniels owns a large area of land with a forest, chickens, and crops. He was shot while taking out the trash. It is believed that the attack may have been recorded on a video surveillance camera at the house.
Mr. Daniels recently participated in the antique car race Circuit des Remparts in Angoulême and drove a car in Pau in the Pyrenees the day before the tragedy. According to local reports, the conflict is related to land rental, as both parties have different visions for what should happen to the farm. Pascal and Jean Moreau had their weapons confiscated, and more than 20 gendarmes are involved in the investigation. Until a detailed investigation, including the results of the forensic examination, is completed, the case is being treated as 'premeditated murder.' Mr. Daniels passed away in Dignac, where his wife sent him. The UK government stated that their staff is providing assistance to the family of the deceased Briton and is in contact with the gendarmerie.
