Erdogan meets with Putin to discuss Cyprus
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed dissatisfaction with Britain's relationship with Russia and Turkey in the context of Cyprus. After meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Erdogan said Britain was trying to thwart Turkey in Cyprus.
On the issue of coups in some African countries and their impact on democracy, Erdoğan noted that some countries try to suppress countries on the path of development and resistance, and named Britain as an example. He emphasized that Russia's position on Cyprus and the situation with the grain corridor confirm Turkey's growing influence in the region.
This meeting between Erdogan and Putin in Russia was timed to coincide with the Turkish president's working visit at the invitation of the Russian leader.
