The importance of real estate as an investment value is unchanged: Access to property is considered a safe investment for the French (82%)... And even as a necessary investment. Whether it is the opportunity to retire (80%) or to have children (58%), access to property seems to many French''integral to planning for the future while remaining financially secure.

Even 76% believe they would find it difficult to get a home loan today.

A critical situation in many respects, which incidentally applies particularly to renters, especially those considering their ability to access property. Despite clear ambitions to become''owners (67% of whom 55% say this is an explicit goal), 69% of renters indicate that they find it difficult or even financially out of reach for their budget (59%). These difficulties do little to motivate renters to think about real estate projects in the near future, with 43% planning to become owners.

In the face of difficulties in the real estate sector, the French generally prefer stability, with only a third considering a change of home (36%) or city of residence (33%) in the fairly near future. However, there is a more pronounced trend among residents of Paris, which was already evident and intensified after the pandemic.

In terms of their real estate actions, the French mainly turn to classified ad sites from individuals (51%) and''professional real estateagency listing sites (47%). However, when buying, the French would prefer to be accompanied by a professional from a real estateagency network, far ahead of other interlocutors surveyed. When buying a property, the French say they choose real estateagency networks based on a few specific criteria, such as the type of properties offered (59%) and the cost of the service (55%). Half of the French indicate that the symbolic and media value of a network can also build credibility.

At a professional level, the real estate sector enjoys a positive reputation among the French: most of them consider this field of activity accessible to different levels of education (78%), with opportunities (74%), interesting in terms of payment terms''(74%) and work (72%), innovative (74%) or with professional development opportunities (72%). These positive perceptions are also evident in French people's perceptions of professions in the field: 79% consider them interesting, 73% consider them prestigious and 72% consider them well known. However, training for these professions remains little known, with only 1 Frenchman out of 3 claiming to know them.

In addition to its good reputation, this sector has a good appeal, with 61% of active individuals willing to recommend it to their loved ones and 45% indicating that they would like to work in it.
