While the amount seems huge, it is not the most expensive home ever sold in the United States. That title belongs to a Manhattan condominium owned by billionaire Ken Griffin, who set the record four years ago when theboughtfor nearly $239 million.

  • 10. Chartwell Manor- $150 million

    This homestead at 750 Bel Air Road in.Los Angeles, known as the real life estate estate of “Jonathan and His Brothers,” was built in 1933 in the French neoclassical style. The mansion was the longtime home of Univision CEO A. Jerrold Perencino and was put up for sale for $350 million after his death in 2017. In 2019, it was sold for $150 million to Lachlan Murdoch, co-founder of News Corp. and son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

  • 9. Villa Rush Limbaugh in Palm Beach- $155 million

    5-bedroom estate at 1495 North Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach,Floridawas sold for $155 million earlier this year to William Lauder, executive chairman of Estee Lauder.

  • 8. 220 Central Park South, Floors 60-61- $157 million

    Three of the 10 most expensive real estate properties in the U.S. were sold in this skyscraper on the southern edge of Central Park in Manhattan, nicknamed “Billionaires' Row” because of its abundance of ultra-expensiveapartments. In 2021, a buyer purchased the 60th and 61st floors of this exclusive building for $157.5 million.

  • 7. Warner Manor- $165 million

    Amazon founder Jeff Bezos purchased this 13,600-square-foot (1,264-square-meter) Beverly Hills estate for $165 million in 2020. The former home of Warner Baxter, co-founder of Warner Bros, it was built in the 1920s to 1930s and features several golf courses, tennis courts, three greenhouses and two guest houses.

  • 6. 589 North County Road, Palm Beach- $170 million

    An oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, Florida, was sold for $170 million in April. The 20,000-square-foot (1,858-square-meter) home built in 2006 was owned by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters founder Bob Stiller and his wife Christine.

  • 5. Gemini Manor- $173 million

    Oracle CEO Larry Ellison bought this 33-room complex in Manalapan, Florida, for $173 million last year.
