Immobiliare news | Foreign investment in Italy grows by 36 % | PERCENT_MARKERS Monitor Immobiliare.
The latest figures show that in the two years from the first half of 2021 to the first half of 2023, foreign direct investment in Italy increased by about 40%. However, there is less good news: starting in the first half of 2022, there has been a negative change of 36%. According to Cencis, this is due to "the tight interest rate policy adopted by the European Central Bank and high inflation".
In the 57th report on the social situation in Italy, Cencis suggests looking for new development opportunities in "instruments aimed at the less developed parts of the country. This is the intention of the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the south, which will be merged into a single structure from 2024." This is expected to lead to "greater integration of local companies into global supply chains and a greater presence of international groups interested in using the southern part of the country as a logistics platform along three destinations spanning Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
