A study on the condition of a French woman after receiving an inheritance of 100 million following a sudden death in Thailand.
Reports about the will of a wealthy French woman, Catherine Delacot, amounting to 100 million ฿ after her suicide in Thailand may have been inaccurate. The lawyers managing her estate have imposed a media blackout until the contents of her will and the total value of her assets are confirmed. It is believed that her estate includes cars, jewelry, bank accounts, and real estate.
Delacote, 59, sadly ended her life at her home on Koh Samui where her body was discovered plastered by the pool. Before her death, she had cleverly turned off the CCTV system to capture her final moments. Her legacy is believed to include expensive properties such as a hilltop villa, pearls, cars and bank accounts, including possibly five villas that she and her ex-husband developed.
In a note from her long-term housekeeper, Mrs. Nutwalai Phupongta, known as 'Aunt Tim', it was stated that she has been chosen as the executor of the will and that her ex-husband has been left an inheritance. While the size of the estate left by Delacot remains unknown, the lawyers managing her estate have restricted premature media publication of the will's details.
Delacot transferred money to her staff before her death and left 500,000 ฿ to 'Aunt Tim' for her funeral. According to Thai law, electronic messages cannot be considered as wills; therefore, the confirmation of the value of her estate is awaiting a probate court process. Her body was sent to Surat Thani province as part of the routine autopsy procedure under Thai law.
