Italian actor Christian De Sica is selling his property in Capri.

Italian actor and director Christian De Sica has sold his cliff-edge property on the island of Capri, Italy, for an undisclosed sum after two years on the market, the listing agency said.
The residence, with about half an acre of land, allows for beautiful views of the Bay of Naples and the Bay of Salerno, according to an announcement from real estate agency Lionard Luxury Real Estate. It was put up for sale in 2021, but the price has not been made public. The sale took place earlier this month.
"This prestigious property has exclusive terraces overlooking the entire island, offering a unique spectacle of its picturesque landscape and blue sea," the listing reads. Agency officials are not yet available for comment.
It is unclear when De Sica, 72, acquired the property or how much he paid for it. De Sica has been a regular in Italian cinema since the 1970s and began making movies in the 1990s. Representatives for the actor have not yet responded to a request for comment.
The villa is part of a complex called "I Quattro Venti," which translates to "The Four Winds," and was built between 1900 and 1903 on the island's Solaro mountainside. The complex was designed and built by Elihu Vedder, a poet, illustrator and artist who moved to Italy from his native New York. This villa was created on the site of Vedder's art studio, according to a press release from Lionard Agency about the sale.
The house has been visited by "many artists," including writer D.

The property was recently updated, and the house has vaulted ceilings and arched windows to bring the fresh sea breeze inside. There are also two terraces overlooking the water for dining or relaxing, as well as a kitchen. "Part of the living room can also be used as a bedroom and, thanks to the retractable blackout systems, it can become a completely separate room," the announcement said. "Room" also has access to a bathroom and dressing room.
The sleeping area, accessed via a separate garden entrance, has two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Next to the garden is an annex, which is currently used as a spa but could be converted into a guest house, as well as a roof terrace with panoramic views.
To mention the gardens, the house is surrounded by native plants. And because it's Capri, that means lemon trees, rose bushes and lavender, as well as olive trees that provide shade from the hot summer sun, the ad says.
