Italy, North, Eco Soznam Real Estate for €1.85mn
In the northern Italian town of Pordenone, an Italian villa built with the environment in mind is for sale for 1.85 million euros ($2.06 million). According to Lionard Luxury Real Estate, the residence was built using bioclimatic architecture, which utilizes climate and geology to heat and cool the estate and reduce energy consumption.

The complex consists of two buildings: the main villa and a separate entertainment space, totaling more than 12,000 square feet. The announcement states that the orientation, shape of the plot, installation of photovoltaic systems, window size and use of surrounding vegetation are characteristic features of bioclimatic architecture.

The villa, which covers almost 2 acres of land, is the family home of Italian television personality and influencer Simonetta Lane.

She noted that she can still remember taking a shower after swimming in a pool of hot water coming directly from a solar panel 25 years ago when she was a child.

The villa, built in the early 1900s, is made of boulders found in a nearby river and covered in jasmine. The sunny roof terrace reveals a magnificent view of the surrounding vineyards and is covered with solar panels providing energy for the entire residence.

The villa has a living room with built-in furniture and an Austrian wood-burning stove, as well as an adjoining kitchen with breakfast area. The villa's second building was formerly used as a place to study alternative medicine and has hosted scientists, philosophers, psychologists and artists from around the world. The estate also features a wooden park, vineyards, a swimming pool and stalls for 8 horses.
