Spain is becoming one of the leading destinations in the luxury residential market segment. The climate, culture, lifestyle, safety, and variety of entertainment are just some of the advantages that attract investors to our country, especially foreigners. Additionally, there is a wide selection of locations and properties with particularly competitive prices compared to other markets like London or Monaco.

The most in-demand and well-represented market within the country is the Balearic Islands.

There is no doubt. Madrid, Catalonia, and the provinces of Malaga, Cadiz, Girona, Tarragona, and Alicante are also in high demand. What exactly attracts investors to the Balearic Islands? Factors such as safety, strategic geographical location, climate, and connections have played a key role in turning the Balearic Islands into a luxury mecca decades ago, attracting a significant number of foreign investors.

In Barcelona, Sitges, Gavà, Sant Adrià de Llavaneres, and Sant Cugat del Vallès, as well as in municipalities along the Costa Brava coast.

Locations such as Begur, Blanes, Cadaqués, Castell-Platja d'Aro, and Sant Feliu de Guíxols in Girona should also be considered. The military commune is also worth noting. In Alicante, properties worth 4.8 million euros have been registered in Altea, as well as in other municipalities like Javea and Teulada-Moraira, with housing priced over four million euros. This figure is also recorded in the Basque Country, where luxury properties are located in San Sebastián.

More than five million euros are also seen in the Balearic Islands, which lead the luxury market (ranging from 3 to 10 million euros) and super-luxury market (over 10 million euros). The most exclusive areas include the municipalities of Andratx, Calvià, Ibiza, Sóller, and Deià, all with properties exceeding two million. Impressive amounts are also paid in cities like Marratxí, Palma de Mallorca, San José de sa Talaia, or Santa Eulalia del Río, where the average price is the highest on the islands - 27,000 euros per square meter.

In Andalusia, the luxury and super-luxury market is concentrated in the province of Malaga.

Locations such as Benahavís, Casares, Marbella, and Estepona are highlighted. In the case of the province of Cádiz, buyers pay attention to the municipality of San Roque. In Madrid, homes priced over five million euros are mainly found in areas like Alcobendas, Pozuelo de Alarcón, and in the capital, where "the types are more diverse, with individual buildings, apartments, and penthouses and duplexes up to 11 million euros," explain representatives from Teknitasa. In Catalonia, the provinces of Barcelona and Girona concentrate the largest number of luxury properties. In the former, notable areas include Cabrera de Mar, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Esplugues de Llobregat, Gavà, Sitges, and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, in addition to the capital, where individual buildings, apartments, and penthouses reach up to 5.6 million euros, with exceptions up to 12.5 million euros.
