The consul is stealing property in Montenegro.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office has requested the temporary confiscation of valuable property assets belonging to Lambertus Hubertus Leonardus Vos, the former honorary consul of Montenegro in the Netherlands.
Despite the fact that the Special State Prosecutor's Office has not responded to questions about Vosa for several months, a source close to the investigation reported that the property of this Dutchman, worth several million euros, which he owns in Montenegro, had previously been blocked.
"Dutch authorities suspect him of money laundering through investments in real estate in Montenegro. The money allegedly came from his companies in Belgium and the Netherlands, which were under investigation by local authorities," said a source from the investigation.
The list of assets that the prosecutor's office allegedly requested for temporary confiscation includes villas on the Montenegrin coast, as well as properties in other parts of Montenegro.
The Higher Court in Podgorica reported to "Vesti" yesterday that a temporary measure was adopted in a case against a Dutch national, but it was canceled at the request of the state. "In another case, a temporary measure prohibiting the disposal and encumbrance of real estate was adopted at the request of the Special State Prosecutor's Office," the court stated.
The criminal prosecution of Vos began in mid-2016, and at that time, the Special State Prosecutor's Office informed "Vesti" that the case was in the preliminary investigation stage and had a classified status.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested the government to relieve him of his duties after the initiation of criminal proceedings. Following the government meeting on July 28, 2016, it was announced that, in accordance with standard procedures, a request would be made to revoke Vos's accreditation with the competent authorities in the Netherlands.
Dutch authorities suspected Vos of evading approximately 5,000,000 euros in taxes related to real estate sales through a company in Cyprus.
The local police also blocked the headquarters of his investment group, where the honorary consulate office was located. The consulate office was in the central office of Voss's investment group in Maastricht, at Sint Lumbricuslaan number six. He was appointed honorary consul of Montenegro in 2011. It is believed that he first came to Montenegro back in 1995 and has been buying property there ever since.
