Contagion sales decreased in September.

A total of 280,058 real estate transactions were made across the country in September, according to information received from representatives of the General Directorate of Cadastre and Real Estate Registration of the Ministry of Environment, Housing Recovery, and Climate Change.

Real estate sales in September decreased by about 10% compared to August, when 312,339 properties were sold. These sales generated a revenue of 4 billion 808 million 937 thousand 276 lira in property tax.

In September, out of the total number of real estate transactions, 100,839 were related to residential properties, 49,418 to land plots, 95,513 to arable land, 11,041 to commercial properties, and the remaining were other real estate objects. The sales of residential properties included in this figure decreased by about 16% compared to 119,547 sales in the previous month, sales of land plots fell by 11% compared to 55,570 sales in the previous month, sales of arable land decreased by 5% compared to 101,104 sales in the previous month, and sales of commercial properties dropped by 6% compared to 11,758 sales in the previous month.

The most real estate was sold in Istanbul.

In September, the highest number of real estate transactions, specifically 26,627, took place in Istanbul. Following Istanbul are Ankara with 16,059 sales, Izmir with 12,054, Konya with 10,200, Bursa with 9,898, Antalya with 8,772, Tekirdağ with 7,803, Balıkesir with 7,103, Gaziantep with 7,092, and Kocaeli with 6,083 sales.
