Malvón plans to reach 94 stores on the Peninsula by the end of the year
Spanish franchise Malvón continues its development plan, approaching the figure of 100 operating stores. In the last ten months, nine stores have been opened, specializing in the production and distribution of Argentine empanadas patties. This has increased the total number of stores in Spain and Portugal to 90. In addition, four more stores are expected to open before the end of the year, increasing the total number to 94. The new stores will be located in Las Palmas, marking Malvón's entry into the Canary Islands, as well as in Barcelona and Seville.
Of the nine stores opened this year, four are in Madrid: on Santa Isabel Street (90 square meters), on Avenida Filipinas (80 square meters), in Torejón de Ardoz in Parque Corredor Shopping Center (standard format) and in El Corte Inglés on Preciados Street (43 square meters). Three of them are owned by franchisees and the last one belongs to the brand itself.
In addition to the openings in Madrid, Malvón has also opened stores in Huelva, Bilbao, Valencia, Ibiza and Toledo in recent months, all owned by franchisees.
Malvón currently has 87 stores in Spain, spread across ten autonomous regions, with Madrid being the region with the largest brand presence with 49 stores. Outside of Spain, the brand has an international master franchise in Portugal, with three stores in Porto.
Since its launch in 2017, Malvón has created 510 direct jobs in stores, workshops and central services. The nine newly opened stores contributed to the creation of 36 new jobs, of which 16 are in Madrid and the remaining 20 are distributed across the newly opened stores in Huelva, Valencia, Bilbao, Ibiza and Toledo, with four jobs in each store.
