Since the inception of the International Architecture Awards in 2005, this annual project has become a platform for celebrating contemporary architecture. In addition, the award organizers believe in architecture's potential to improve the quality of life for people around the world. This year's winners were selected from 48 countries, from Ethiopia to Tokyo, and from New York to Nova Scotia.
