Ministry of Transportation sent a request to the new government to look into debts related to Thailand's green metro, but the Election Affairs Commission blocked the request.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha

Speaking at a ceremony at the government building at 9:15 a.m., he said all questions that have no practical use should not be asked of him. He then moved on to the second generation solar power plant (Tokamak TT-1) and said that this did not require his intervention as it was a departmental issue.

Vice Prime Minister Tanahat Rayavehas

Minister of Education, Science, Research and Innovation, spoke about the achievements of the TT-1 tokamak fusion project, Thailand's first nuclear reaction. He added that all questions that have nothing to do with benefits should not be asked.

Infrastructure Minister Anupong Paochinda

gave an interview in which he talked about the 20 billion baht debt to be paid to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), the operator of the metro's green line. Bangkok is now trying to find a solution to this problem, but the current government cannot address the issue before the change of power and the formation of a new government. However, the only way out of this situation is to involve the private sector, including participation in a public-private partnership investment commission. However, it will take several years before such a commission becomes a reality for Bangkok in 2573.

In the meantime, the solution to this problem falls on the shoulders of MASS-Rapid Transit, as they must continue to provide public transportation. Bangkok also lacks the financial capacity to repay debts, and the only thing left is to wait for a new government to solve the problem.

Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Vishnu Koravej

addressed the issue of the green metro line, noting that it has not been sent to the cabinet for consideration. However, he confirmed that the issue of arrears was sent to the ministry, where a decision was made to send it back to the Electoral Affairs Commission. He also noted that he did not know how the money issue would be handled. Stay up to date with the latest news via LINE ID: @PPTVHD36.
