My night at Philip Plain's $13 million dollar city mansion.

On February 15, 2024, German designer Philipp Plein threw a cocktail party at his Upper East Manhattan mansion that, as expected, turned out to be a magnificent excess and luxury of Plein's style. Philipp Plein, known for his maximalism and theatrics at his fashion shows, gave another chic performance at New York Fashion Week.
Mansion
The mansion, which cost Plain about 13 million dollars, was impressive in its decor: mirrors, marble and glass adorned every surface. When I arrived, I was greeted by a Plein employee who asked me to take off my shoes and grab my coat. I climbed a marble staircase engraved with the number 162, symbolizing Plein and, upon entering, found a table covered with appetizers and desserts from Sant Ambroeus restaurant, as well as bottles of champagne and collectible Bearbrick dolls. It was expected that there would be more guests at the party, but of course only about a dozen people ended up attending, mostly editors and stylists occupying the first two floors of the house.
Philippe Plein
Philipp Plein himself was not present at the party, so I went to the next floor where I found two luxurious mirrored living rooms with huge crystal chandeliers and candles with Plein's hexagon-shaped logo. There I saw the designer along with rapper and actor Ice-T during a business meeting. Ice-T admired Plein's house, describing his style as unapologetic. He said many people may have money, but the style is something special.

Top floor
I then went to the top floor, where I entered my son Plain's bedroom, the bed in which was built into a miniature helicopter. Philip told me that he comes down to the house in a hot air balloon, and that his older bedroom had once been decorated with a hot air balloon. Also at the party was a young Colombian fashion designer, actor and singer named David Granados, dressed in a stylish leather jacket and Plain jeans. He said that his style helps him to be the protagonist of his own story.
Ice-T
Finishing the night, in an interview Ice-T talked about his love of fancy clothes and the atmosphere at Plein's parties. He talked about one of his Plain t-shirts, decorated with a skull and crossbones and studded with gemstones. He remarked that he justified the $800 cost of the T-shirt by its quality and durability, unlike his first luxury purchase, a Versace belt. According to Ice-T, Plein is not only a clothing brand, but also a lifestyle.
An evening at the Plein Mansion left an unforgettable impression of the designer's intense style and theatrical atmosphere.
