The Chief of Administration of General Puerredon, Guillermo Montenegro, participated in the Colloquium of Politics, Economy and Real Estate held in Mar del Plata and highlighted the city's potential. "Last year, a record was set with the issuance of 445,000 square meters and this is the second city after KABA. We have now surpassed the 340,000 mark, and that's 25 percent more than last year's record," he said. In this context, he added that "it is not just about real estate, but is related to what is happening in the city, and this is where we need to focus, because investment will come if the city is ready to accept investment".
The head of the municipality highlighted the infrastructure of Mar del Plata, which includes the 43-kilometer coastline.
In this context, he noted that the city has 12,000 industrial plants and 1,500 industrial companies, and the Industrial Park is the third or fourth largest in the country. In this regard, he emphasized that they intend to expand it as the current one is completely full. "The park is completely full and we are thinking about a second phase, not only to attract more companies, as Lamb Weston is doing with an investment of 300 million dollars and more than 300 direct jobs for pre-fried potato products for export," he said.
Finally, Montenegro emphasized that companies choose Mar del Plata for a variety of reasons: "Because of the proximity to the product, because of the amenities of the park, because of the logistics that the port will provide, and because of the number of people able to work with specific tasks, because Mar del Plata has a large number of public and private universities, and this speaks to the quality that we, the people of Mar del Plata, have".
