It is necessary to accomplish this for real estate listings
Alaattin Durmaz, chairman of the Aydın Union of Builders and Real Estate Agents, held special service seminars for its members regarding new regulations on listing sites.
The chairman of the union, Alaattin Durmaz, has held a service seminar for its members regarding new regulations on classifieds websites. At a seminar held at Aydin National Bank, Chairman Alaattin Durmaz briefed members on the current updates and answered their questions.
Durmaz noted that starting today, proof of identity will be required for online advertisements and fines for inappropriate advertisements were also announced. Chairman Durmaz also said that he discussed the matter with the Minister of Commerce and noted that only individuals, their close first and second degree relatives will be able to post ads on the websites.
Durmaz also emphasized that real estate agents should enter into contracts with property owners before posting ads. Chairman Durmaz stated, "Individuals posting on websites may only post information about their real estate or the real estate of a close first or second degree relative. We need to enter into a contract with our clients in order to be authorized to publish ads. This requirement is complex, but we support it. Now you can say, "But no one wants to sign the contract." You might say, "We tell clients, but they're afraid to sign." The answer is simple - you can't place an ad until the contract is signed. Real estate agents, like you, will not be able to post listings. This is a common practice for the whole of Turkey.
The seminar was also attended by Aydına's director of commerce, Arif Aksu, as well as real estate agents affiliated with the union and undergoing internships.
