A new Asian restaurant next to 26 Thai in Midtown - What's next in Atlanta?

The owners of 26 Thai Kitchen & Bar are launching a new Asian-style restaurant and bar next to their existing establishment, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The application for a special administrative permit details plans for a 145-seat restaurant in a historic two-story building located at 826 Juniper St NE. Upon approval of the plans, approximately 415 square feet of space will be added to the building. It is situated at the corner of Juniper and Sixth streets.

Originally, the building was a one-story house, but it has recently been used for commercial purposes.

In April of this year, the newspaper was the first to report on plans to open a restaurant in this building. 26 Thai has five locations in metro Atlanta: in the Buckhead area, Midtown, Brookhaven, the Battery area, and at Perimeter Mall. Additionally, this culinary hall will also open its branch in the upcoming food hall Politan Row on Ashford Lane in Dunwoody.
