On August1st (SeeNews) - Property management company Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL: AERO], the former operator of Belgrade's international airport in the capital of Serbia, stated that its net profit for the first half of2023 was3.5 million dinars ($29,900), significantly lower than the profit of57.7 million dinars reported for the same period last year. Revenue increased to451.2 million dinars in the first half from348.9 million dinars in the first half of last year, while operating expenses rose to445.5 million dinars from428.1 dinars, as reported by Aerodrom Nikola Tesla in a document presented at the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday.

In March2018, the French company Vinci Airports signed a25-year concession contract with Serbia to take over the operational activities of Belgrade Airport from Aerodrom Nikola Tesla. The contract includes financing, maintenance, expansion, and modernization of the airport.

Under the deal's terms, Vinci Airports paid417 million euros to the Serbian government and84 million euros to Aerodrom Nikola Tesla retail trade shareholders for the concession, as well as an annual concession fee ranging from4.4 million euros to15.1 million euros.

The concession process began in December2018, during which the main activity of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla was changed to primarily leasing and property management, according to the information on the company's website. (1 euro =117.293 dinars)
