A sad state of amazing real estate has been left in the French countryside. A 21-year-old urban explorer recently went viral thanks to his eerie tour of a house abandoned in a state of destruction. Yannick explained how he stumbled upon this amazing abandoned art estate, saying that he "unexpectedly stumbled upon this stunning abandoned art estate on his way to another location," according to Jam Press.

Yannick - a prolific wanderer of ruined structures - parked his car, snuck through the overgrown garden and went inside, only to be overwhelmed by the huge rooms, whose walls and ceilings are decorated with "countless paintings" as well as heavily crumbling paint. "Entering the estate made me feel like I had entered another world," said Yannick, a self-proclaimed German "explorer of abandoned places."

Despite the fact that no one was home, the estate appeared unusually full: upholstered couches, tables, chairs, a piano, and a diary, among other personal items, remained in place, as they probably had been before the space was abandoned.

The business student, who uses the pseudonym UrbexGuide to document his adventures on TikTok, decided to research the history of the place and learned that the estate had been abandoned since 2004. "It belonged to a famous artist who had a weakness for splendor," he said, adding that "I'm sure the people who lived there didn't have the financial means to renovate the estate because some parts of the house were half renovated."

This house stands out for its size and splendor among the other estates Jannik has researched. Jannik's research regularly gains tens of thousands of views on the social media platform, with one of his videos about visiting an abandoned manor house in Sweden having over 110,000 views. An abandoned castle in Italy is also popular with his followers, racking up more than 47,000 views.
