The Parisian aristocrat demands the return of the ancestral estate in an inheritance dispute

One of the descendants of the last French monarchs demanded the return of a historical chateau that had previously belonged to his family, after a scandal arose over an attempt to turn part of it into a hotel and accusations of missing artworks.
Château Chantilly, located 30 miles north of Paris, was handed over to the Institute of France in 1886 as a gift from its ancestor Henri d'Orléans.
Château Chantilly is one of the most famous in France, but in recent years it has been facing financial difficulties, despite a £70 million restoration carried out by the Aga Khan and £4 million in grants from pandemic recovery funds.
