The scorcher of a forgotten artist on a lost estate in the French countryside
A stunning abandoned mansion has been found in rural France that was left to deteriorate for unknown reasons.
A 21-year-old urban explorer recently went viral for his eerie tour of this house, which was in a miserable state of destruction. "I stumbled upon this amazing abandoned mansion by accident on my way to another location," explained explorer Yannick about how he stumbled upon the house, according to Jam Press.
Yannick, a prolific traveler of abandoned structures, parked his car, snuck through a thicket of gardens and went inside, stunned by the huge rooms, whose walls and ceilings were decorated with "countless paintings" as well as heavily peeling paint. "Upon entering the mansion, I felt like I had entered another world," said Yannick, a self-proclaimed "abandoned places explorer" living in Germany.
Despite the absence of the owners, the estate was unusually filled with belongings: upholstered sofas, tables, chairs, a piano and a diary, as well as other personal items, all still in their places, as they probably were before the place was abandoned.
The business and economics student, who uses the nickname UrbexGuide to document his adventures on TikTok, decided to research the history of the place and learned that the mansion had been abandoned since 2004.
