Sale of an Italian house due to an expired deadline: symbolic price and forced sale.

Australian Danny MacCabin,58, bought a house in Italy for85 pence as part of a program aimed at attracting people to the area, but he had to sell it as he couldn't meet the renovation deadlines. Danny MacCabin,56, bought a house in Mussomeli, Sicily, for just85 pence. This became possible thanks to the "Case1 Euro" program, which called on foreigners to move to the area. Attracted by the beauty of the area, the Australian considered the offer too good to refuse. However, his dream gradually died as he couldn't fulfill the conditions that required buyers to complete the house renovation within three years of purchase for full ownership. As a result, he sold it to an agency, which then resold it.

Mussomeli, Sicily, carried out this initiative. Danny MacCabin found it difficult to renovate the old house within three years. However, he later obtained a residence permit in Italy and now calls this beautiful city his home. He told Yahoo: "The1 euro house program is what drew me to this city. That was part of my dream - to move to a place where the cost of living is lower."
