'A walk along the Budva-Bečići waterfront, Montenegro'
'Adriatic Sea with a population of about 20,000 people, among which is a medieval walled town with sandy beaches. The city has experienced rapid urban growth over the past decades and is one of Montenegro's top tourist destinations.
The Budva-Bečići waterfront competition comes just a month after the neighboring Municipality of Kotor launched an international competition to create a new soccer stadium. The competition aims to create a new "sustainable space" that contributes to the cultural and tourist development of Budva, while preserving the unique heritage of the area.
The key objectives are to encourage a 'radical' change in the way the seafront is used;''To create new public spaces for socializing, recreation and outdoor events; and to increase the visitor capacity of the waterfront.
Applications should include an A3 brochure describing the project and four A0 panels with drawings and diagrams.

The overall winner - to be announced in April - will receive a prize of €120,000. There will also be a second place prize of €60,000, a third place prize of €30,000 and two purchases worth €6,500 each. Among the jury members will be chief state architect Vladan Stevovic, president of the Municipality of Budva Milo Božović and artist Savo Pavlović.
