Last month I traveled to central Italy for the 70th birthday of Brunello Cuccinelli, the Italian director and CEO of the luxury brand that bears his name. I went to Perugia, the historic capital of Umbria.

Set on a hill, Perugia is the largest medieval walled city in Italy.

Then I took a short trip to Solomeo, a village in the province of Perugia, which has been the home of Cuccinelli since 1982 and its headquarters since 1985. It was a short trip - only two days - but it was full of great views, historic village walks, delicious food and great company.
