Pheu Thai will consider the issue of chairmanship in the House at its meeting on Monday.

The executive committee and deputies of the Pheu Thai party will meet on Monday to discuss the issue of homeowners, as party leader Chonlanan Srikaew insists that the speaker of the house should not represent a specific party.

While Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat stated that the party offered Pheu Thai the opportunity to present a resolution regarding the speaker before the chamber meeting on Tuesday, to elect the speaker and his two deputies.

Pita urged the media not to raise new questions related to the speaker's election that could cause public confusion, such as the suggestion that Move Forward and Pheu Thai might compete for the speaker's position.

Leaders of the eight coalition parties met on Sunday to discuss a number of issues of public interest, such as energy resource prices, the possibility of lowering energy costs, household debt, student loans, teacher debt, and policing, said Pita, adding that the meeting barely touched on the issue of speakers.

Chonlanan stated that the executive committee and the deputies of Pheu Thai have different views on the issue of the speaker, but the party adheres to its rules when discussing this matter.
