The program to allocate funds to buy rural houses for young people will continue from the beginning of next year.

An additional 120 contracts for houses in rural areas were signed today byMilan Krkobabic, Minister for Rural Care, at the Serbian Chamber.

"The remaining two days. The competition is open until November 1, and the total number of allocated houses will be 2,650. It is important to note that we will continue this program of allocating funds for the purchase of rural houses for our youth right at the beginning of next year," the minister said.

He added that 'the number of new residents is approaching 10,000, which corresponds to one large village in Serbia or''medium-sized municipality'.

Jelena Stepic, a math teacher at the Zrenjanin technical school, will live near her parents' home in Srpska Itebejstvo in the municipality of Žitište.

"I am staying in my village and plan to start a family. I am pleased that my house this time has the largest plot, I will do farming and my uzha will help me.

The highest number of new rural houses was received in Sombor - 14, Nova Crna - 9, Novi Kneževac and Beceju - 8, while in other parts of Serbia, Pirot and Golubac are the leaders.

The most popular village this time is Banatsko Aranђelovo, where five families will move in, including a couple with eight children.

Angela Urosevic and Srdjan Pantic are expecting a child and will live in a village near Paracin.

"This competition was a push forward for us. I think it is important for everyone to become self-reliant, to have their own roof over their head and their own piece of bread. I plan to open a beauty salon, and my husband and I, of course, will be engaged in farming," Angela told us.

The winners in the village near Becej, Daliborka and Dušan Vuščin, were sincere.

The most affordable house this time cost 480,000 dinars and is located in the Sombor village of Bezdan, while the winners of the biggest house, measuring 346 square meters, are moving to the Serbian Crna, where they will be able to plant and grow on more than 19 hectares of land.
