Decided the country wasn't ours anymore and moved away
Cyprus Turk Cemil Şah, said he had lost faith in being able to provide his children with a good future by staying in Cyprus. He decided to emigrate because, according to him, there is no justice on the island and he does not believe it is our state. Together with his wife and two daughters, he moved to the Osoiro neighborhood near the city of Bergen, Norway, leaving behind his life in Jedidalga.
46-year-old Şah, who worked nine years in the army and 17 years as a prison officer, emphasizes that the reason for his decision was not economic but social problems.
About a year ago, Şah moved to Norway, found a job, rented a place and then brought his family. However, when he returned to the island to retrieve his loved ones, he found that "KKTS" had become much dirtier and more expensive than Norway. Şah notes that life in Cyprus is much more expensive than in Norway. He notes that Norway has free education and health care and no security concerns.
He says they left their parents and friends in Cyprus. He sets a condition for their return, "If there is peace in Cyprus." He concludes: "I decided that this was not our state and decided to emigrate." He adds that it is not only the right-wing parties but also the left-wing parties that are to blame for bringing the country to this state. He says real opposition is needed and that empty talk will get you nowhere.
