Funding has allowed for several upgrades including a new front door, brick repairs and replacing/repainting the deck on the patio.

The City of Holton Hills is providing funds to help a local restaurant improve its appearance. Lily Thai Cuisine restaurant in downtown Georgetown has received a Community Improvement Plan façade improvement grant totaling nearly $16,000.

The city provided the funds for a series of upgrades at the restaurant aimed at revitalizing the exterior of the building and preserving its historic values. "We really appreciate our involvement in the community and the support from the city in maintaining our property," said Lily Thai Cuisine owner Helen' said'Lou. "The process went very smoothly and I loved how responsive and professional everyone was when I asked for help and guidance through it all.

Councilors Jane Fogal, Chantal Garneau and Ron Norris joined staff from the city's Economic and Innovation Departments to present the Lily Thai Cuisine District with a check in the amount of $15,961.25.

The community grant made it possible to replace the front door, repaint the front window, replace the front entrance ceiling and make necessary repairs to the brick building, as well as replace and paint the deck on the patio.
