Couple Azra Alagic and Gary Waldon were inspired by their honeymoon in the Greek Isles for their latest renovation, a Gold Coast North Shore apartment building that will be auctioned off this month.
They bought the house in February 2021 and turned it into a tranquil vacation spot for the duration of the pandemic when travel was banned. But now they feel the call of the wanderer again and are selling the house to travel abroad again.
The Amir Prestige Agency is representing this home for sale by agent Mitchell Booth, and the auction will take place on January 24.

Mrs Alagic said they chose this location on a 799 square meter plot of land on Calmwater Cres for its attractive canal-side location, quiet neighborhood, proximity to amenities and easy access to the beaches and Brisbane's Central Business District via the M1 freeway. "The house was 20 years old when we bought it, but we knew it had good potential and we could create something special," said Ms. Alagic, 53.
"Our inspiration was definitely our honeymoon in Mykonos in the Greek Islands - it was the last trip we managed to take before COVID. "We love traveling and immersing ourselves in''culture of place, so in the case of the home it was very important to us to create an atmosphere that resembles that feeling. "We work hard and spend long hours at work, and when we come home we want to immediately feel relieved and relax in a luxurious vacation atmosphere. "

"We've always bought a house to sell and we think the market is still in a good position, so if we get the price we want, we'll''we'll sell, but if not, we're happy to stay because we like it here,' Ms. Alagic said." "The interest rate is not a deciding factor for us. We're selling the house because we plan to travel extensively to find more inspiration for our next project. "But the market is so cyclical and I think people can overreact to inflation and interest rates are passing phenomena. "
