Russian Foreign Ministry opens consulate in Northern Cyprus - Maria Zakharova
Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova has confirmed that her country will open a consulate in Northern Cyprus, saying: "As you know, work continues to improve the mechanisms and methods of providing consular services to Russian citizens living in the north of the island. These works will continue for the benefit of our country." Zakharova also said Russia would act in accordance with national interests by opening a consulate in the KCTCS.
The Alitia newspaper in its article titled "Russia opens consular office in occupied areas" reported that Russian Foreign Ministry speechmaker Maria Zakharova answered questions from Russian journalists and confirmed the opening of a consulate in Northern Cyprus. According to the newspaper, Zakharova said in a statement: "As you know, work continues to improve mechanisms and methods of providing consular services to Russian citizens living in the north of the island.
