One of the most expensive properties in the Cincinnati area of Northern Kentucky will be auctioned off, according to DeCaro Auctions International, which is handling the sale.

The 15,000-square-foot residence, built in 2013, is on a 7-acre lot in Edgewood, Kentucky, 15 miles south of Cincinnati.

The property is now listed at $6.9 million, according to DeCaro, and will be sold at a live auction with no reserve on Oct. 14.

The villa, named Chateau du Mont Reve, is inspired by French architecture and is "a masterpiece that lives up to its name," according to Daniel DeCaro, president and founder of DeCaro.

"European architecture reflects artistic excellence and impeccable workmanship.

From reports, the property was first put on the market in July 2021 at just under $9 million, which was the most expensive home in the Cincinnati metropolitan area that includes Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana.

It was listed again last summer at the same price and was reduced to its current value in May, real estate records show.
