The most expensive homes for sale in the USA: the top 25 luxury properties.

Los Angeles holds a leading position.
Real estate in Los Angeles in 2016 was simply incredible, and in 2017, everything remains the same. At the beginning of the year, we saw the most expensive listing in the country: a magnificent $250 million home in Bel-Air, Los Angeles, with a "lifestyle to match" (think luxury car gallery, paid staff for the house, and much more). But unfortunately, its title will be stripped away before the end of summer, as an astonishing offer has emerged - the Chartwell Estate in Bel-Air, valued at $350 million. In the latest list of the 25 most expensive homes for sale, the exorbitant mansions of Los Angeles continue to dominate, alongside a collection of classic estates in the Hamptons and magnificent ranches. All the properties featured here must be available for sale on the open market with a specific publicly listed price and have a main building of some type. And for those interested in the most expensive listings in specific cities and regions, here they are:
- Atlanta
- Austin
- Boston
- Chicago
- Detroit
- Hamptons
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- New Orleans
- New York
- Philadelphia
- San Francisco
- Seattle
- Washington
For the first time in 30 years, the Chartwell Estate property on 10 acres in Bel-Air belongs to the late television producer Jerry Perenchio, who passed away in May. The main house, which spans 25,000 square feet and features the famous limestone staircase facade from the "Beverly Hills" series, was designed by architect Sumner Spaulding and showcases magnificent 18th-century French neoclassical style. Inside, you'll find a ballroom, a formal living room, and a paneled dining room.
Another masterpiece has appeared on the market - a mega mansion spanning 38,000 square feet in French chateau style, created by luxury developer Bruce Makowsky.

Another magnificent French chateau, spanning 56,500 square feet, offers 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, and several hundred rooms for everything you could possibly dream of. It is well known that Mrs. Spelling's main hobby was her doll collection.
Returning to Los Angeles, the property in Holmby Hills that was previously owned by Sonny and Cher and recently sold for $90 million is back on the market for nearly double that price. This 10-acre estate with an Italian villa spanning 12,000 square feet features numerous marble fireplaces, crystal chandeliers, and bathrooms adorned with 24-karat gold. The grounds also include a swimming pool, a tennis court, and an additional parcel for development.
These are just some of the most expensive listings on the real estate market in Los Angeles and other cities in the U.S. Prices for luxury properties continue to astonish with their incredible amounts.
