Simone Lupi, former Lazio regional councillor for the Democratic Party, has officially announced his entry into Italia Viva.

These are his words, "For some time now I have been reflecting on the direction that politics in our country in general, and the PD in particular, is taking. I have too often wondered if we have given up, slowed down, waited for results, despite all the great statements that are regularly made when there is a change of general secretary. I'm tired of sitting idly by and watching trains go away and missed opportunities. I no longer have a PD card from 2021, I took this step to break away from a party I had stopped believing in, and of course to be competitive in regional elections. I had a lot of faith in Daniele Leodori and''a simple supporter, I'm doing this because I can't continue to stand idly by and watch time go by and opportunities missed. It's also not a decision I take lightly: The Democratic Party and the entire field associated with the AP has always been my home, and change weighs heavy on my heart, but I can't in good conscience stay on the sidelines without being able to make a change. This is not a change in my beliefs, they remain unchanged, it is a shift towards situations and realities more prone to wanting to change, to actualize that change.
