Old property prices in France to fall by 1.1 in Q3 2023

According to Notaires-Insee data published this morning at 8:45, prices of old residential properties (houses and apartments) in France (excluding Mayotte) fell by 1.1% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter. On a year-over-year basis, old property prices declined by 1.9% (adjusting for seasonal changes). In the previous quarter, residential real estate prices decreased 0.7% over the 3 months and increased 0.6% over the year.
It is important to note that this indicator is calculated by Notaires-Insee every quarter using a method developed by Insee in conjunction with Notaires-Insee. It is based on models that allow to estimate the value of a real estate object depending on its' 'characteristics.
