According to the ad, it served as a monastery until 1786 before becoming a recreation center. In 1812, the monastery was taken over by the Griccioli family, who undertook a complete renovation of the monastery and church, before it became a nursing home in 1932. It is now used for social and cultural activities. Known as the Abbey of Sant'\''Eugenio, the huge complex of over 66,000 square feet has palaces,'' 'built of brick and tuff stone.
