Court in Belgrade: Will Sky messages be proof of payment for Šarić murders?

court, there was a letter from the Ministry of Justice relating to the communication with "skaja", which is the most important evidence in this trial. It states that the material with 'skaja' received from France relates to the case against Veljko Belivuk, not to Šarić, which is why Šarić's lawyer was outraged. "You see, 'Veljivuk Veljko Belivuk and others', this is not relevant to this case," said lawyer Dalibor Katančević, adding that it is therefore illegal evidence. Prosecutor Goran Jovic said it was a mistake made by the Justice Ministry. "It is clear that this is a technical error, we have said this several times. The request (prosecutor's office) was requested for this case, it's a technical error - that does not call into question the legality of the evidence," said''planned to kill Joksovic - the first time at a Drinska regata event at which Joksovic was scheduled to appear. According to prosecutors, the plan did not materialize because the race was postponed due to a coronavirus pandemic.

A second plan involved killing Joksovic in front of the building where he lives, prosecutors allege, but that too failed to materialize.

Since he failed, Šarić, according to the prosecution, wanted to discredit Joksović so that he would lose his status as an employee cooperating with law enforcement. He organized the bombing of Goran Nikolašević's car and then tried to link it to Joksović, knowing that he and Nikolašević, a former employee, no longer had a good relationship. The prosecutor's office claims that Šarić organized the whole thing''from a prison cell using multiple phones with the "skaj" encrypted communication app installed, but has yet to establish who delivered the phones to Šarić and how.

Sharic was arrested last April on suspicion of ordering the murder of former employeeMilan Milovac Cigla, who was killed in 2020 in Ecuador. However, so far he has not been charged with the crime. Europol and skaj reports also link at least two murders to Šarić - according to Europol, he financed the murder of one of the leaders of the Škaljar clan, Alen Kozar, as well as his employee in Corfu in 2020. There are also no charges in Serbia for these murders.
