Now opening a real estate agency is this way!

The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Artisans (CTEO) and the Cyprus Turkish Real Estate Association (CTAA) have signed a cooperation agreement to prevent illegal and unofficial practices in the real estate sector.

According to the signed agreement, applications for opening real estate agencies will be accepted either by the association or the chamber, and the work of maintaining the register of agencies will be carried out jointly by the two organizations.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, KTEZO coordinator Hürrem Tulga said that real estate is a professional activity, but due to lack of cooperation and coordination, informal practices are only increasing. He also stressed that after this cooperation, they will accelerate the work of developing professional standards and licensing real estate agents together with the Department of Vocational Technical Education and Culture of the Ministry of National Education.

The president of KTEB, Hassan Sungur, also said in his speech that there are about 600 illegal real estate agents operating in the sector and they have already discussed this issue with the municipalities.
