The Turkish telecommunications operator Turkcell, a pioneer of digital transformation in Turkey, has introduced 4.5G technology to Northern Cyprus.

Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell, transitioning from 3G to 4.5G, will provide the residents of Northern Cyprus with a more powerful and faster connection to the world.

The launch ceremony was attended by the President of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, numerous ministers from NorthernCyprus, and the chairman of the board of Turkcell, Bülent Aksu.

The company Turkcell, supporting a strong network infrastructure with the latest technologies, continues to offer its products and services in Northern Cyprus.

Turkcell, bringing innovations in the world of mobile communications to Northern Cyprus and making life easier for its subscribers, recently launched 4.5G technology at Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell starting from September 7.

Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell invested 193 million dollars in the auction held to obtain a 4G/5G license.

With 4.5G technology, all services and products will be provided to individual and corporate clients of Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell using the company's powerful infrastructure.

Thanks to this, Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell will provide a more powerful and faster connection for its subscribers in Northern Cyprus.

Users will be able to access the internet 10 times faster.

Owners of Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell will also be able to take advantage of the SUPERBOX service, providing convenient access to the 4.5G station and speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

Thus, they will be able to enjoy excellent digital services from Turkcell, such as the TV+ digital content platform, anywhere, while enjoying high-speed technology and digitalization.

99.6% of the population is covered.

As a result of acquiring the widest range of frequencies during the 4G and 5G auction last year, Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell provides coverage for 99.6% of the population and LTE service availability at all base stations.

As a result of the implementation of the Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell service, which transitioned from 3G to 4.5G, the chairman of Turkcell, Bülent Aksu, expressed pride in the fact that the company became the first operator to introduce 4.5G technology in Northern Cyprus.

Bülent Aksu said in his speech at the ceremony: "Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell has been our eye since its inception, just five years after Turkcell was established. Here, we first tested many new products and services and shared our success with you. Over the past 24 years, we have contributed approximately $1.1 billion to the country's economy through our activities and investments in Northern Cyprus. We have also become one of the largest employers in the country, providing thousands of jobs. Providing the most advanced technologies and highest speeds in both Turkey and NorthernCyprus has always been our top priority. Today, we are proud that Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell has become the first operator to introduce 4.5G technology in Northern Cyprus.

Aksu also did not forget to mention the "angels of Cyprus" who perished in the earthquake on February 6, saying: "We have not forgotten our angels, whom we lost during the earthquake. We supported the Association for the Revival of Champion Angels, created to preserve the name and memory of our children, and we will continue to provide support.
